SKILL BUILDER

Use our skill builder techniques of teaching colors and shapes through little games you can play with your child.

Shape Skill builder

1. You can make a book with many sheets paper. Select a shape and stick on each sheet of paper pictures of different objects of that shape.

2. You can draw several shapes in a peice of paper. Then show the child various objects and ask them to find which object relate to which shape.

3. You can make set of cards of various shapes. Allow the child to choose all cards of the same shape.

Color Skill builder

1. Make small bits of colored paper. Paint rainbow of another paper. Make your child stick the right color on the right band on the rainbow.

2. You can draw outlines of balloons using colored markers. You can then ask your child to dip his finger on the corresponding color paint and place on the outline.

3. Make cards in different colors. Ask you child to sort according to the color and put them in different containers.

Alphabets Skill Builder

1.You can fill sand on a tray and allow your child to make impression of any alphabet. You can repeat for all alphabets.

2. You can make pairs of alphabet cards and play memory games with your child.

Numbers Skill Builder

1. Sit on the ground facing your child with some space between the two. You can roll the ball back and froth and counting each time you do so.

2. You can make puzzle out of numbers. Write a number and stick pictures or objects corresponding to the number on a card. Cut the card into two like a jigsaw puzzle. Repeat for as many numbers as your can. Make your child solve the puzzle.

3. You can make a dice with numbers that corresponds to number of elements in a human body. You can then ask the child to point to the corresponding element. Example if the dices throws of 2, he should show eyes or ears.

Opposites Skill Builders

1. Teach your child opposites by doing the opposite of what he is doing. If he is reaching up you reach down. If he hops on one foot you stand still. If the laughs you cry. If he squats down you jump high. If he whispers you shout.

Textures Skill Builder

1. You can teach your child texture and shape by using things commonly available at your house like utensils, softoys, rubber bands etc.

2. You can make your child sort toys according to color, size and texture.
